Hey girls & boys!

While the project still is in early development right now, I've started talking a bit more about it on Twitter and several Discord communities, such as our official server, the Team Nautiljon server or even Tous Artistes, just to name a few. Even if you're following our journey from any of these places, chances are that you don't actually know anything about the game and its deep lore... Which is why we're happy to open this first little thread on the subject: a Q&A.

Have simple questions you'd like answers to? Search no more: this is the place to ask. It can be about anything, as long as it's related to the game.

Frequently asked ones:

Q: What kind of game is it?

A: Tenkū no Tō is an immersive A-RPG with time-based events (think Animal Crossing).

Q: Is there a playable demo we could try?

A: No. The game isn't in alpha/beta stage yet, so there isn't any demo available. We'll hold a closed beta when required, and may share a bit more through videos.

Q: Is there a release date?

A: No. We've been working on the game for years now, but it still have a very long way to go before it can be released.

Q: How much will the game be?

A: We haven't decided yet. It may be free, or sold for less than €10.

Q: How large is the map and how long will the game be?

A: As of now, the overworld is composed of 7 levels, 2 towns and 2 cities. The game should have a huge replayability value and you'll be able to keep playing after completing the main quest, but it isn't possible to state how long it will be right now. We're aiming for around 100 NPCs in the final game (story-related NPCs not included) and 100 endings (one can dream ^^).

Q: How many people are working on the game?

A: I'm working alone on 90% of the game, but I also have a little team helping me from time to time. In total, we're 13 (some team members still haven't contributed to the game development as of writing).

Q: The game looks like x or y. What are your main inspirations?

A: The base concept was inspired by The Elder Scrolls (Skyrim), but we also take a lot from animes such as Sword Art Online or Danmachi. Our second most important source of inspiration would be Magical Starsign, a sweet little J-RPG for the Nintendo DS. As it's not a one-man-team handling the project alone anymore, everyone brings their own influences to it, making it even more unique!
