Project Description: One Lonely Outpost is a space farming sim in the same vein as Stardew Valley or Havest Moon, taking place on a barren alien planet. It has most of the mechanics of it's predecessors, but instead of starting in a town, you begin alone and as you grow crops and help develop things, more people will come join your colony. Additionally, there are two paths to take your farm down; Natural and Synthetic. The Natural route gives you live farm animals, plant breeding, hybrids, and a premium on your products. The Synthetic route will grant you Robo-Animals which produce synthetic meat and gene splicing for your plants, though you might occasionally end up with fuzzy tomatoes. Finally, there are mysterious alien ruins with robot guards to fight and puzzle your way through in order to unravel the mystery of the planet. The project is past pre-production and has made significant progress on Vertical Integration. We also demo'ed the game at GDC 2019 with our own booth.

About The Team: We came together to make an amazing game first and foremost, and that goal hasn't changed since. I am the Project Manager, and also serve as Design Lead and supplemental Programmer. I have 6 years experience programming, 4 years experience in game dev, and 2 years experience as a Team Lead professionally, plus 10 years of hobbyist game design projects and study. Our music is composed by Bashi Boizu of Magicite fame, and our Lead Artist has done work for DOTA2. The team is globally distributed, so everything is run through Discord, Trello, and Google Drive.
Unity 3D Developer
Responsibilities: Unity 3D development with C# programming
Role Details: We are seeking experienced Unity 3D developers to compliment our existing team. You would work to iterate on the progress made so far, refactoring/rewriting the existing code base when necessary, and expanding on/using the existing work done most of the time. Due to life circumstances, most of the existing programmers are not able to devote sufficient time to the project to keep up the forward momentum we need to meet our target deadline of 2023 release. They remain available on a weekly basis to help explain and bugfix, but not to implement new features.
For the right person, the position of Lead Developer may be available.
Requirements:
*Prepared to devote at least 10 hours per WEEK average (40 hours per MONTH minimum total) to the project.
*One of the following:
A released title in Unity,
OR
Any finished game which I can download the Unity project of and review,
OR
2+ years full time experience with Unity.
Pixel Artist
Responsibilities: Producing assets - static, animated, and/or VFX - for use in game.
Role Details: We are seeking another talented artist to join our team of 3 artists. The scope of the game means that there is an immense amount of artwork needed - we're confident we can get there eventually, but we'd like to get there sooner than later. That's why we are opening up for more artists to join the project. You will have plenty of say in which tasks you want to pick up, as well as input into the overall creative process, of course.
Requirements:
*Prepared to devote at least 10 hours per WEEK average (40 hours per MONTH minimum total) to the project.
*Ability to match the style of the game which takes inspiration from Pathway and other higher resolution pixel art games.
*Ability to match quality of the latest pixel art assets seen on social media feeds, which represent the finalized art style.
