Hi, I am the developer of an offline mobile app where users can anonymously publish and browse through a collection of love letters!

Now you're probably thinking, "What the heck?" but please hear me out first.

Imagine writing in a virtual diary, but EVERYBODY has access to that same diary, and everybody can write within its pages. Doesn't that sound pretty cool? Well the beta version of this app's launch is only days away.

How This Works:

Basically, hundreds or possibly thousands of people will write an anonymous letter towards somebody they either admire, have a crush on, or love passionately. This collection of writing will be submitted to and rated by our Review Team as either AFAA (Appropriate for All Ages) or AFAO (Appropriate for Adults Only). 

Your letters can be mildly sexual if you are a naturally passionate person. Your writing just cannot be crude. No erotica please...

 When your letter is approved, the Review Team will email everybody who submitted a letter or multiple letters (You can write as many as you'd like). Once our team has received at least 300 letters, we will compile them in a randomized fashion and build the app to be launched the very next day. Alerts will be sent to everyone so that they can download the app and read love letters from anonymous writers. The app will have an interface similar to popular dating apps like Tinder.

The Fun Part:

Once this app launches, users will have access to hundreds of different love letters. It will feel pretty exhilarating. If you read and admire an author's letter, you will have the option of sending a personalized "Valentine" to them. Our team member, whom we often refer to as "Cupid," will immediately spot check and deliver your Valentine to your mystery writer of interest. This is fun because everybody has an equal chance of receiving Valentines. There is no judging or criticism at all. People can just freely write how they feel without the restrictions of moderators or commenters.

Why Am I Making This, And Why Am I Using Itch.io to Do It?

I understand that something like this is unusual to find within itch.io, which is why we are using this platform to launch our beta. I very much intend to launch this app within Google Play and the Apple Store subsequently. This is a passion project that I have been devising for quite some time. There is NO money involved in this at all. None of us are even going to create so much as a Patreon account. I hate ads, I would never include such a horrible thing in this app either. My goal is to help people to practice opening themselves up and relieving themselves of strong feelings they may have. This app is an outlet for people to just write and say, "I love you" to someone they care about. It's three simple words, yet we are discouraged from saying them as often. If everybody in the world practiced saying "I love you" more often, I truly believe that the world could be slightly better than it is now.
