Hi! This is my first blog on the game called Movie World.

I started out this project almost one year ago because I really wanted to play a hybrid between a game The Movies and more causal games like Mad Games Tycoon and Game Dev Tycoon. I remember that there was another game listed on steam from an Indian studio that was exactly what I wanted but since the development of that game stopped I decided to make my own game.

So here we are. First, I would like to explain what my game is all about and what makes it »special«. Movie World is a tycoon/management game. I tried to give the game that nostalgic casual game feeling while at the same time making it more complex as the time moves on.

You start off by building a studio building where you can monitor most of your movie studio information. The first page called an »overview« will display your movie name, logo, studio renown, reputation and environment. But then you also have a separate tab for »finances«, »loans« and »franchises«. In the next blog I plan to go more in-depth will all of these features that have a huge impact on the game.

Once you have your studio building you can build a development building, where you can create movies. But before you can create a movie, you will also need to build a movie set. You can unlock new buildable sets once you research the required genres from a research building, where you've guessed it, can research genres, marketing options, movie technology and analyze the market. Like before, I would like to go more in-depth on all of the features in the upcoming blogs.

Before I finish, I would also like to add that the game is at the moment completely playable. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed. The game is already listed on the Steam store as »coming soon«. The only thing left for me now is to expand the game even further. I plan to finish off series, which would be an alternative to your movies with a slight twist when the television is unlocked. I also plan to finish development on distribution for franchises, where you would be able to market specific movies/series, distribute them, go into toys and so on. And there is also a big secret feature which I will add at the end of the game and was never explored in games before as far as I know. :)
