Hello! I just finished an early prototype and I would love to hear what you guys think of the core concept. There is no art yet because I wanted to see if the game play alone would be fun for people. There is about 30 - 60 minutes of game play depending on your skill level. Also, feel free to go for the collectibles (orange squares) or not.

Some Questions to think about

1. Did you have fun?

2. Was the game too hard? (though the game is meant to be difficult)

3. Are there any levels that stood out? (good or bad)

Thank you so much in advance! I have a lot of ideas for future levels, mechanics/features, and themes so i hope you guys like it!

You can download the game here: https://scholley.itch.io/mask-project-prototype

1.  At the start I was wondering how this game was any different to any platformer.  However, after the mask it all made sense.  Pretty cool mechanic and yes it was quite fun.  Lots of room to expand on it as well!  Good job.

2. Here is where i got up to

At this point it became too difficult for me.  That said, I am not known for my amazing platform skills.

3.  The first screen stood out a little because i didn't know what the point of the platforms i couldn't reach were for, i thought i might of been doing something wrong.  As I said Before tho, it all made sense after I got the mask.

How far through the game did I get?  Lol

The core mechanic is solid, keep it up mate!

Thank you so much for playing!

1. Yea, I'm glad you stuck through until you got the mask. I liked the idea of having normal rooms that then became very different when you got the mask.

2. Nice job! i think i should definitely make that room easier. You made it 20/55!

3. I hope that art will make this a little more obvious but I'm glad it all ended making sense!

I really appreciate the kind words! :)

Level and small concept update, Give it a look!

Had another go at the game this time with a keyboard instead of controller.

The dots that show where the objects in the other mode are is a good idea,.

I found I couldn't get as far into the game this time with the keyboard, i think that is because changing with the control button is a bit hard.
