Critical Bug Report: 0 Active Lobbies / 0 Active Players Server Issue on Classic US (Multiplayer API De-synchronization)

Message Body

Hey Dlovan, I hope you're doing well! First off, thank you for all the work you put into Classic US. I wanted to bring a critical issue to your attention that's currently making the game unplayable. Right now, there is a recurring bug causing the matchmaking/server browser to display 0 active lobbies and 0 active players. After looking into it, the issue appears to be caused by a Multiplayer API de-synchronization bug. Here are the details of the bug:

  • The Root Cause: A de-synchronization between the client-side API requests and the master server. Because the API is failing to properly synchronize, it completely drops or fails to fetch the live session data.
  • The Issue: When loading into the game, the server browser entirely fails to display any live sessions, showing a flat zero for both total players and available lobbies, even when multiple people are trying to queue up simultaneously.
  • Impact: Players are completely locked out of multiplayer matchmaking, giving the false impression that the game is completely dead or offline.
  • Current Workarounds Tried: Restarting the client, resetting game data, and switching networks don't seem to consistently fix it, as the API remains out of sync until a server-side refresh happens.
Since this is completely blocking people from playing together, we wanted to make sure it was on your radar for the next patch or server hotfix.
