Balancing

I played the game a while back, and something I noticed was playing on normal mode was extremely difficult for no reason. Playing story mode often felt like the only way to get past some areas of the game, and honestly it got annoying when I couldn't progress because enemies got too OP.

I was thinking about buying this game, but I would like to ask if the balancing situation has been fixed, because story mode difficulty FEELS like it should be normal difficulty, and normal feels like it should be hard difficulty.

if it hasn't, I urge the gamedev to please fix the balancing, some areas of the game felt easy and others fel impossible, or at least make progression a bit more intuitive. It would make the game far more appealing and I'd likely buy it. Thanks.

It's not a balance issue, it's closer to the skill issue. I can't say for sure, but you probably didn't learn how to use mechanics of this games, such as Tactical Advantages, elemental weaknesses and back-attacks.

Learned all of those, game still got ridiculously unbalanced during the later areas because of the debuffs

What debuffs? Curses or passives that come from corruption? Most of curses could be avoided, and corruption... Serious stuff usually not earlier than second Mind Room.
It's good that you knoew all mentioned mechanics, it's a basis for this game. Could you describe more what is the main problem in your walkthrough?
