So, I got annihilated pretty quickly.  Certain items were great, others didn't stop the hordes worth a damn.  (seed gun was weak after the HP increased,  Licking tongue was strong.)  I also kept upgrading the size of bullets only to see no real difference.  
What's the purpose of the coins?  I got 7 one time, but they disappeared in the next run.  Wasn't sure.

Interesting.  Made me want to play another game to figure things out.  So it's a solid concept.  The mobs just destroy you at a certain point, although jumping is pretty useful.

That's great feedback thanks for trying it out! That balancing is an ever ongoing thing I'm working on :D. 
I think it's weapons with very little knockback that cause the "mobs just destroy you at a certain point" feeling. Do you remember what build you played roughly? Seedgun, tongue, bulletsizes something else?

I could probably make the bullet size increase more visible. It increases but in small steps so one or two upgrades might not be that visible since you cant compare them to how small they were initially.

Edit: The coins are currently only for refreshing for new weapons/upgrades but a merchant is in the works and will hopefully add some good uses for the coins. Coins as a currency for unlocks between sessions is a potential idea, but that's mainly what the tadpoles will be used for. Would be cool if saving tadpoles unlock new frog characters to play with.
