After tinkering with tat, I must say that it's great! I like it's simplicity, I wouldn't discard that for too much extra funcionality, but I think a few small adjustments would add a lot.
- Locked objects should't block me from adjusting an unlocked object behind them - locked objects should be handled as if they would be behind unlocked objects, even if their layer order would say otherwise.
- New objects should be created on the top, not on the bottom.
- When you move your cursor to the edge of a Local Sound bubble, the radius adjuster grabpoint should teleport under it.
- All stops, pauses etc. /especially leaving and entering an area sound/ should be transitions. No harsh cuts.
- Solo sounds should only silence all other sounds when they are played. Also, transitioning into a solo sound should transition down all other sounds with the same percent - so moving into a Solo Local Sound bubble with a Play Inside Trigger should gradually turn down the volume for all other sounds as you approach the middle. This could be used to easily place a sound within another one, and transition into it witout hearing the other (so you can very easily create "negative spaces").
P.S.: I signed up to the PARADISO newsletter only for tat, and for me it was worth it! It's a great program overall!
