I am happy to announce the release of my second game on itch.io
Puzzled Knight is a tile matching game that pits the player against an AI opponent. The game features 3 game modes. Arcade Mode is the meat of the game. The player battles AI opponents that get stronger every round. The boss fight in level 36 is quite difficult. Tournament Mode is a daily quick fix. The player fights through 3 rounds to receive a daily prize. Classic Mode is the easiest part of the game. The player has to match a certain number of tiles before the enemy to beat the level.
The game mechanics allow for a good amount of strategy. Matching sword tiles performs attacks that can be blocked by matching shield tiles or neutralized by matching dodge tiles. Making more complicated matches results in extra turns, while using special moves can turn the momentum in the player's favor. If a level is too difficult, leveling up your character can make a big difference.
The player can also focus on earning gold in each level and then use that gold to purchase special moves in the store.
