Is there any way I can install itch app through a proxy / Is there a full installer?

I'm a game developer, I want to upload my game to itch app using butler. So I need itch app to test it.

However, Itch's cdn (hwcdn.net) is blocked in my country. As a result, the Itch app's installer (itch-setup) always gave me "Error during warm-up" error.  I know there's alternative download option for games. But for itch.app alternative download is not an option.

I have a proxy (shadowsocks) that can access to itch's cdn. It works well with browsers and most apps on my Windows 10. But itch-setup could never download through my proxy, even if I configured it as my OS' global proxy. I also tried the HTTP_PROXY environment variable, no luck either.

Is there any way I can install itch app through a proxy?

Or is there a full installer for itch app for Windows?

Thanks.

Turns out itch-setup couldn't go through SOCKS5 proxy. I solved it by using a tool named SocksCap64.

--------

For ppl who encountered the same problem:

Download it at https://sourceforge.net/projects/sockscap64/

Go to Proxy, add 127.0.0.1 at port 1080 (which is your shadowsocks client).

Go to the plus sign beside Apps, add an executable file, which's itch-setup.

Run itch-setup in proxy - problem solved.
