Hello! My name is Alec, and I’m developing a 2D platformer project in GameMaker called Iron Helm. This is planned as a commercial release on Steam and itch.io, with the ultimate goal of submitting the game to Indie Cross.

🎮 About the Game

Iron Helm is a 2D platformer with puzzle and adventure elements. The player wields a legendary iron helm to explore dangerous environments, solve challenges, and battle enemies. The game blends classic platforming with unique helm-based abilities for a fresh experience.

🛠️ Current Progress

  • Core assets and design concept are in place
  • Basic objects (obj_playerobj_ground) and movement systems are working
  • Room setup and level design framework started
  • Art direction and theme established

👨‍💻 Roles Available

I’m looking for two coders to join the project:

  1. Core Systems Developer → player controls, physics, camera, combat mechanics
  2. UI & Features Developer → menus, saving/loading, polish, optimization

💰 Compensation

This is a revenue share partnership:

  • 20% of net profits for each coder
  • 60% for myself (design, art, publishing, marketing)

🚀 Release Plan

  • Target platforms: Steam and itch.io
  • Commercial release with marketing and community engagement
  • Long-term goal: build Iron Helm into a recognizable indie title and submit it to Indie Cross
