Hi,

instaled mod Gentlemen of Fortune: Lost Ships City, mod running very well. But in quest "In the City of Abandoned Ships, when i trying to put diving suit in place on Phoenix platform, game throws to black screen, most of controls not functioning. Moving to another locations with debugger not removing issue.  My OS - Windows 10,  graphic card NVIDIA GeForce GTX850M.

I tried skip this step, teleported with debugger out from platform and returned to Mechanic from other side, but after ending quest diving suit not removed. Please, help with this bug.

Do you have the Antialiasing in the config.exe turned on?  Several people have had problems with GTX 1070, 1080 cards when the AA is turned on in the game.  Try unchecking AA in config.exe.  Unfortunately, from what I can find on the internet, this is a fairly common problem with games that run older DirectX with AA enabled within the games and those newer GTX cards.  I don't have one myself, and I don't know why, because enabling AA in the game is a simple one-line property value sent to DirectX when the game starts the DX service after running a DirectX command to query if the driver supports the feature.

If you don't have AA turned on, or it is still a problem, there might be trouble in the Program scripts for COAS, so if you send me a save game where you are ready to dive, but have not put on the suit to my email, I will check it out.  Email is chezjfrey at hotmail dot com.

Antialiasing is turned off.  I have sent save game by mail. Thank You.

Your save games in my email helped me figure out the problem.  I found this was a bug in the original COAS cd version.  Someone fixed it for GOF, and the only time I've ever been to the Lost Ships City was in GOF and ERAS mods, so never noticed that COAS had this bug.  It might have been patched by the devs, but I never received a patch for my original game, so the bug remained.  But, I found it and fixed the problem.

Update Lost Ships City from the new Itch version.  You will have to use the save right before you enter to put the suit on, but when you put in on, then dive, you will be able to properly take the suit off and re-enter the city.

Also, when testing this, I noticed that the underwater effect for DirectX 9 looked slightly different than the original DirectX 8 version, so I also updated the Maelstrom engine to make them more identical underwater, so that is updated too, along with some other updates.

Thank You for support, mod runs smoothly now!
