Critical Bugfixes

  • Fixed: Game got stuck after battle when your starter Zoa was damaged with the Professor as a follower.
    • This happened because the Professor automatically offers to heal your party, even though he should only do this when talked to. The event script would therefore start but never resolve.
  • Fixed: Game sometimes crashed when a Zoa learned a new move.
    • This happened due to a scope issue with the move data.

Zoa

  • Added a new Zoa called "Meownace". It is the first steel-type you can encounter in the game.

Engine

  • Centralised some redundant GPU functions for better maintainability (does not affect gameplay)
  • Centralised some battle functions (such as healing a Zoa) for better maintainability (does not affect gameplay)
  • Added an internal tag system for moves and Zoas that will be required for more complex move interactions

Battle

  • Added the functionality to have moves target multiple Zoa, partner Zoa (on the same side), random targets or no targets (e.g. setting weather conditions).
  • Added a new status condition called "Scared". A scared Zoa cannot be swapped out.
  • Added a new status condition called "Cursed". A cursed Zoa cannot be healed and will lose HP instead.
  • Added a new move called "Void". It curses the target.

Balancing

  • Ashadow no longer naturally learns the move "Overdrive", as it doesn't fit its design. But it can learn the move indirectly by breeding.
  • The move "Shadow Swipe" now puts the status condition "scared" on the target.

Events

  • Player can no longer "flee" from some scripted battles.
