I made it in time!
I'm never really sure about how to go about game jams when I'm on my own, since I'm not really that good at actual game design, so I just tend to focus on more narrative driven ideas, and this is one is no exception.
I was looking at the comment section of a video of the recording of the IBM 7094 singing "Daisy Bell" and came across this comment that said "I just imagine a robot in space repairing an abandoned space ship singing this" and decided to turn it into a game, although it may be stretching a bit the definition of a game. I must say though I'm quite happy with the final result. I had to drastically reduce the scope of my project because I joined the jam when there were only 3 days on the clock. Luckily for me, it's currently a national holiday here in Chile so I could give the project 100% of my time (and also I'm unemployed)
You play as a maintenance android aboard a cargo space ship, and you have to keep everything in order while the crew is in cryosleep.
It's very lacking in gameplay (mostly because of the time constraints), so it's mostly about the general vibe of the spaceship. If the burnout doesn't kill all my motivation to open the project again, I'll probably revisit it because I'm still a bit mad I had to cut out as much stuff as I did.
Please check it out! I hope you like it!
