My Game Asset projects not showing in “Newest Game Assets”

Hi everyone,

I’m Escape Pixel and I’ve recently uploaded two new game asset projects:

Both are set to Public and correctly classified as Game Assets. They have descriptions, screenshots, and files. However, neither of them appears in the /game-assets/newest section — even after waiting 30+ minutes for the last one, and for days for the first one.

I have many other projects on my page, and this issue has never happened before — all my previous projects were indexed normally.

I’ve already read the indexing documentation, but I still don’t understand why my recent projects aren’t showing up.

👉 Has anyone else experienced this? 👉 Is there something I might be missing about how projects get listed in “Newest”?

Thanks in advance for any help!

The shadow series one was uploaded 22 days ago, which is way to long ago to be in recent. (I scrolled down quite a bit and got to 6 days ago) The Shadow Mini one was uploaded an hour ago, which is way to early to be indexed. Indexing normally takes hours or days, and add on to that the whole problem with itch.io already dedicating a lot of resources to payment processing, it makes sense it hasn't been indexed yet. Once it gets indexed, it will be on recent. Cool pixel art by the way.

The Shadow Series one I actually checked every day after posting it and never saw it show up When I uploaded the Shadow Mini one and still didn’t see it I felt I had to ask before all my new projects end up not being indexed

I also read in the indexing docs that if you search the full name and can’t find the project then it hasn’t been indexed due to some issue That’s why I believe my projects aren’t showing up properly

Thanks for reaching out to help me and also thanks for the compliment on my pixel art i’m glad you liked it

I don't know then. I haven't uploaded a project since after the whole payment processer thing, which has increased the amount of work that itch's few employees have to do, and payments are valued more important as people need money, so that might be why it's taking a while.
