What do you think of this prototype:
- Concept viability as a game (1-10)
- Playability as a prototype (1-10)
- Fun (1-10)
What things would you prioritize to take to make this prototype better?
I played the prototype and as far understand the idea, it's supposed to be similar to an escape scene, such as a driving scene when bullets fly from all directions.
This is the feedback:
When it comes to making a game solely about escaping in bullet hell, why not?
Super Mario Bros is a game solely based on the concept of moving from point A to point B on a singular axis and what makes it fun is the things between the start and the end.
For your game, that is the case for both playabillity and fun and as far as I can see it, it's a solid 2 or 3 out of 10 on the prototype but don't be discouraged by it as it can be improved by adding things in the middle of the journey, a change in the environment as well as bonuses or pickups.
Concept wise, I would give a 4 or 5 because I find those scenes in games fun.
This is my feedback and is based on my reactions and my first impression.
i played your prototype its fun to play i understood that im driving a truck that way its turns slow,.
and you can add a map or something so we know where to turn next.
you can replace that yellow objects with a broken car or truck or some broken buildings pieces
and replace that red objects with human or aliens so it's looks like a some kind of attack, so you have to protect your self and people around you
and as level goes up add objectives so player's don't lose interest in it
you know if you want you can make it maze like structure remove turning Indicator and you can add Indicator for enemy's location and you can add people so we have to save them and go to safety and more people player's save according to that they get reword.
and you can do more with this game
i gave this prototype 3/10
if you add more this game wheel be 10 on 10
if you have any playtest requests in future I will be happy test your game just dm me,
From my perspective:
1. Concept viability as a game (1-10)
7/10 if executed correctly (just a rough estimate based on belly feeling) Think if there is enough variation and some "zones of rest" in between escaping and enough difficult manovers and "surprises" it could work quite well - most difficult thing is combat "repetiveness" since you do the same kind of action over and over again
2. Playability as a prototype (1-10)
Prototyp 2/10 ... that the instructions change when you miss one is fine... that they drive you into "blocked" areas didn't feel great at all ... also i didn't feel that i really could "escape or do something against bullets"
3. Fun (1-10)
hard to tell if executed well think fun could be an 8 out of ten maybe even higher
What would I focus on to enhance the prototype?
- give the player a way to actively or indiretly avoid bullets
- make sure that the voicd "don't lead you to wrong areas" (i would like situations where i won't listen to the voice... because there is a greater "thread" and then take another route")
