Here's what some of the stuff I work on looks like. I didn't prepare any images specefically for this post so these are a little non-sequitur.

I want to make a game thats ACTUALLY scary. I don't mean making things so dark it's hard to tell if you're moving or not. Being alone, or hunted, or maybe even trying to dodge a virus can be scary but the most horrifying thing I've ever experienced is real combat. I'm an Army veteran, medically retired, I have a 7 month old son who I'd like to play a hobby game with when he's old enough.
I'm a long time Arma and Squad player for obvious reasons, but the classics like Mass Effect, Fallout, and Dead Space were all series I binged when I had the time. Each time a new game I'm excited for comes out I get hopeful, and then on the day it's released, it has a lot of promises for future updates lol and this is a recurring thing I see so it has driven me to learn Unreal Engine 5 quite well. I have Blender in my pipeline, but also an adobe suite like substance, so I'm not narrow on the programs available.
So, if you're picturing a 2d retro style game I am going to disapoint you. I want to make something that isn't saturated with low poly trees and rocks, I have licensing to use these assets should it ever need to come up at some point, lets use them. I stay at home with my son and have several hours throughout the day that I could be applying myself to a project like this. The last two years I've been able to delve into a massive tutorial series or something but youtube has run dry mostly for anything new for me.
Anyway, email me if you want to collaborate or something.
