Pc game files got corrupted so I'm attempting to use, Ren'Py save editor 1.6.1.0 (offline one) but this message pops up when I load the edited save file, "this save was created on a different device. maliciously constructed save file can harm your computer. do you trust this saves creator and everyone who could have changed this file?" Google is of no help, any advice?

you should just be able to say yes, but idk if it can work if the game's files got corrupted... is it playable without loading?

When I press yes it just goes back to the load screen, I have an old save from and earlier version that still works but it's only to the point of saving the shark

i don't have a save file to test it (send one if you want), but i found this thread that did something similar when i had to test for someone else some time ago, scroll down to lilly_kat:
