Hey all – I’m looking to connect with 1–2 collaborators (developer, artist, or both) who’d be interested in building a short-form game project; something with clear scope that we can actually finish and polish. Think demo/prototype scale, ideally wrapped within 1–2 months. I’ve got ideas in this space, but I strongly believe a team works best when we’re all bought in, so the concept should be a shared decision.
What I Bring to the Table:
I’m no programmer or artist, but I’ve taken the time to familiarize myself with both Unreal and Blender so I can communicate clearly, respect your time, and help bridge vision into execution. Within this, I can certainly assist where my skills allow and am open to this. Specifically, hard surface modeling and prototyping of certain assets could be something I provide.
Professionally, I help run a successful e-commerce company my full-time role covers marketing, sales, customer support (technical and non-technical), and team coordination. I wear a lot of hats and work closely with small teams. I understand production pipelines, deadlines, and user-facing priorities. I can handle scheduling, scope control, design docs, and version feedback loops so we don’t get lost in development hell.
I'm also a lifelong gamer with a wide taste, but my strongest creative interest lies in simulators and RPGs—games with systems, emergent gameplay, and a sense of agency. That said, I’m fully open to other genres that excite us as a team.
What I’m Looking For:
A programmer | Unreal being a plus because of my, albeit minor, experience with it. However am open to other engines.
Optionally an artist (but I’m okay working with asset packs at first)
Someone open to tight collaboration, regular check-ins, and scoping realistically
Someone who doesn’t want to do everything alone and sees the value in a vision-holder/organizer
An English speaker, ideally within or near Eastern Time—a few hours' difference (e.g. EU) is fine, but large time gaps will make collaboration tough
This isn’t a “recruiting for my dream game” post. I want to co-create something fun, complete, and portfolio-worthy(or more), and I’m ready to do the legwork between brainstorm and delivery.
If this sounds like a good fit or you’re working on something already that could use a this kind of methodology, shoot me a DM or reply here. Let's talk and build something that doesn’t die in Trello.
A note on compensation and goals:
This would be an unpaid collaboration to start—focused on creating a small, scoped game together. I’m here to find the right team dynamic, build something we’re all proud of, and keep it manageable.
If the collaboration works well and the project shows potential, I’m fully open to exploring a commercial release down the line with fair rev-share or other mutually agreed terms. I’m not looking to fund a project out of pocket, but I am serious about doing things right if the opportunity arises.
I have created like an "intake" form but it's certainly not that formal, if you'd like its a great place for us to break the ice.
