Hello everyone, this is AmadeusSalieri here to introduce an idea for my card game named Faceless.
The game features a very simple card game rule set, using 6 cards (with values of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6). The special aspect is that the cards have certain effects, but these effects are not written on the cards themselves—players must deduce them through reasoning or unlock them using in-game currency. Players can also utilize match replays and some auxiliary functions to assist in their deductions.
The game's narrative is still under development, but it will primarily be conveyed through card descriptions. Players may also have the ability to influence the story by interacting with other participants in the "game" through dialogue. The story revolves around a lost Eastern kingdom, following the tale of a Samurai and a Taoist priest. However, the player do not participate straightly in this story.
Currently, I’ve implemented basic UI elements, core game mechanics, and partial card effects. Due to limited art skills, I’ve adopted a clean minimalist style. I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions! (Attached are some work-in-progress screenshots.)
