Hi there,
I'm launching a Kickstarter for a board game in November, but as part of the campaign push I want to develop a playable solo version of the game as a simple web app. It's called SILO BOSS and it's a light-hearted, simple silo, worker-placement sim... with a bit of Cards Against Humanity style humour thrown in. So I need a coder who's down with HTML, V-script, LUA, python and knows how to get a simple game playing in a browser.
I have a background in games design (going back a bit!) and a lot of experience in 3d an2 d art, but I'm best known as an author, oddly. A series of novels called 'TImeRiders'. Anyhoo... I recently arsed about with replit and V0 to see if I could develop this myself, but after a promising start with an AI helper... it all went very weird and unreliable very quickly. So... I suspect the demise of human coders has some way to go yet (same with authors!).
The web app is pretty lightweight in terms of dev time. Nothing too fancy, simple boardgame rules, turn based, cutesy graphics etc etc. The idea will be to give potential pledgers a taste before buying in. That said... the basic version I managed to coax an AI into writing was pretty good fun, and there may well be a life for a digital version AFTER the campaign. ( I have ideas for it :)
Anyway, if this sounds of interest to anyone... it may well be a paying gig, if we hit the kickstarter to goal... so, a delayed, paying gig.
I guess that's me for now. Hopefully I'll get a bite. 07
