Game doesn't launch / Crashes at startup

Long story short, game used to work perfectly fine on my old computer a year or so ago. Doesn't launch/closes immediately at my new one.

Tried both launching it while it's in the zip, and putting it in a folder outside it. Tried launching it within my C: drive as my User name has country-specific characters. Tried using Windows 8 etc. compatibility settings. And I think my drivers are up to date, I might be wrong however.

I really don't know what's different from my older pc. I see no reason as to why this should happen.

The only thing out of place in the log it prints out is:

Early init took 0.05s

Loading error handling took 0.30s

188 script files skipped.

Loading script took 1.28s

part at the beginning. Rest seems completely fine. I'm running it on a 4070.

You did extract the whole package with winrar, right?

assume I did. I'm not sure how I can be fully sure but I did suspect something like that so i tried downloading/extracting multiple times with the off-chance of turning off my antivirus too but still I can't fully rule it out.

I'm just talking about the usual downloading, right click on the .rar, and "extract here" process (i usually do it in a folder on my desktop dedicated to the game)... like, you aren't double clicking on the .rar and dragging out just the .exe, right?

Other things i can think of are you playing on some hidden folder (again, i recommend putting your .rar on a dedicated new folder on the desktop and do "extract here"), or on something like a USB, or maybe needing to use applocale if your system is in some odd language... consider redownloading it too, maybe something went wrong.

If all fails, see if a way older version that had the 32 bit .exe included works (i think 0.31 had it), even just to test if an older version runs fine.
