Backstory
For most of my life,it has been my dream to make my own games,and for a while,I have just been world building in my head or making concepts in notebooks during class. But recently,I have started to work for this dream,I have been learning programming off for my self,and have been getting used to the unity game engine. And with this I have made decent progress already!
Progress
Currently I have made 2 demos,the first one I made an year ago and was my first ever project,it was incredibly simple with a player with simple movement and a sword attack,along with it I had a swordfighter enemy. The new demo on the other hand is the one in focus right now,it is very incomplete as of now but in scale it is already more than my last demo,currently in my new demo I have a much larger moveset for the player,I have a much smarter and threatening sword enemy that can keep up with the player in almost all situations,and I am working on an archer,which is still incomplete but it's almost done. But with this come a few challenges.
Help
From the footage/pictures you will see attached below,you can see that all of these are made by one guy who doesn't know much about art and is just rushing it so the game isnt a bunch of cubes,with that I request any upcoming artists to help me in this dream of mine,currently I got 0.00 money but I have heard that this kinda work is good portfolio work. Another thing I gotta get some help on is bugfixing,knowing I'm a self taught programmer,it's no surprise each update to any of my codes result in 100 errors,I fix most of them,especially the fatal ones,but sometimes it feels like it isn't efficient enough to slam my head against chatgpt or YouTube as the former can take hours to understand my current situation and the latter is usually filler with some minor changes that heavily impact it's portability with my game,so if any programmers want to help me polish up my game, I'd be greatful! All of this will eventually lead to a bright future for this project,speaking of which
Future
As I have explained,I currently have 2 demos,the 2nd one in progress,I plan to add more enemies to this demo,a few levels,with their own gimmicks,testing the default movement and weapons,then I want to add a full bossfight reflecting one that will most definetly make it to the final game,just with a complete overhaul. Speaking for the full game,it will be approximately 5 to 6 hours long,with around 6 chapters planned,each about an hour long,I have plans for diffrent enemy types,bosses,stories and lore for all of these areas aswell the overarching game itself,it may take a lot of time,but it will be worth it as determination gets people through this! Now for the most important part.
