Update 1.1.2

πŸŒ€ Pattern Survivors Update (Demo + Full Version)

Platforms: Windows (32-bit & 64-bit), Linux (64-bit), macOS (64-bit) and web version

This update brings a set of technical improvements, bug fixes, and deep engine optimizations for PatternBULLET2D Engine by Airem.
Performance and stability have been improved across all devices — especially noticeable on low-end hardware.

πŸ”§ Changes & Improvements

β€’ Online / Offline Leaderboard System
– When the player finishes a run with an active internet connection, online rankings are now displayed automatically.
– The system detects the connection and switches to online mode when available.
– If no connection is found, it switches to local ranking, which can later be manually updated by switching from online to local.
– Local scores are not overwritten unless the player chooses to update them.

β€’ Improved Streaks.js System
– Fixed rare logic issues with combo and multiplier tracking.
– Smoother score progression and better streak handling during long sessions.

β€’ Major Engine Performance Boost (PatternBULLET2D)
– Optimized logic and rendering loops.
– Improved memory management and particle caching.
– Average framerate boost on low-end systems: +25–50%.
– Faster loading times and smoother transitions between levels and effects.

β€’ Bug Fixes & Stability
– Fixed minor logic bugs in collision and visual systems.
– Improved fullscreen/window switching behavior.
– More reliable save-state system across campaign and survival modes.

Update 1.1.1

πŸ’» Cross-Platform Update

This update covers all versions of the game: Windows (32 & 64-bit)Mac (64-bit) and Linux (64-bit). Each platform received engine tweaks, better memory handling, and lower CPU/GPU load during heavy on-screen chaos.

I’ve also fixed an issue with the Steam Overlay that prevented it from launching on certain setups. It should now work correctly across all platforms (if not, please report it in the support thread).

βš™οΈ Improved PatternBULLET2D Engine

My custom bullet engine has been optimized for massive waves and hundreds of active units. Expect smoother motion, more precise collisions, and better effect management — while keeping that distinctive Pattern Survivors style.

In short: more bullets, fewer FPS drops.

πŸ›‘οΈ Unit & Projectile Fixes

  1. The β€œShielder” unit was reworked for performance; its shields and animations should no longer cause frame dips after wave 5.
  2. HOMING projectiles now have smoother motion and smarter target tracking.
  3. General AI and performance improvements for other units.

🌐 Online Leaderboards (Steam)

From now on, the demo also supports online leaderboards, letting players compete on the same terms as the full version.

To keep things fair, leaderboards are separated — demo and full edition each have their own score tables.

Every death, every wave, every save — it all counts now.

🌍 Localization & Assets

This patch updates 30 languages (more coming soon), covering both in-game text and Steam store pages.

Dozens of translations were refined for clarity and formatting; graphics, logos, and library art were also refreshed.

🧹 Other Fixes & Optimizations

  1. Removed leftover internal test code (β€œcode cleanup pass”).
  2. Minor sound and effect polish.
  3. Font alignment fixes in several languages.
  4. More stable save behavior in Sandbox and Survival modes.

It’s not a huge content update, but a solid foundation for what’s coming next.
