A slight issue with the opening

I was trying to rollback at during the intro and scroll up didn't work so I absentmindedly scrolled down a little returning my finger and ended up skipping over a few lines and since there's currently no rollback and no access to any menus during the intro my options were alt f4 or just continue, I don't think I missed anything important so I just continued but if rollback is currently unavailable then maybe disable rollforward, especially if it is allowed to go past the most recently read line

also since there's no access to menus during the opening I had to deal with the ambient and effect noises being a little too loud until it ended, almost gave me a headache, only after I got to the bedroom and had access to the ui did I find out that adjusting the volume gives you a sample.

just a couple things you might want to address to make the start a little better

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Just to clarify, rollback is actually implemented in the code, but I had to disable it for now because it was causing some issues. Disabling the mouse wheel for forward skipping at the beginning might not be a bad idea though, although if it was new dialogue, the game shouldn't have let you scroll past it. That's definitely strange, and I'll look into it.

I'm also really sorry to hear the sound at the beginning gave you a headache, that's definitely not the experience I want anyone to have. I try to keep all audio levels fairly consistent across the game, and if the volume on your speakers or headphones had been turned down a bit, the difference in volume between sounds shouldn't have been a problem. Even so, I'll double-check to make sure no sounds are louder than they should be.

Again, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! I'd love to hear more of your impressions about the story, characters, and gameplay as you continue playing. 馃槃

I went over the settings before starting the game to turn down the music and saw the default setting was skip everything so switched that out to read only so maybe that setting is reversed for some reason, also just incase the player hasn't set the settings right, especially audio, the settings menu should always be available imo, and I said almost, didn't quite give me a headache

also I read the other post where you mentioned rollback is in the code but disabled which is why I said currently unavailable

Yeah, maybe "skip everything" and "read only" are reversed, that's a good lead to follow and find the cause.

Thank you very much. 馃檪
