Hey Itch community 👋
I’ve been working solo for a few years now on a weird and ambitious factory-building game in the style of Factorio and Satisfactory, but with a deep-space twist:
> 🛠️ Build a network of factories across multiple asteroids. Escape the solar system. Maybe uncover a mystery or two.
🔧 What is *Kaipa Bots*?
You're a small autonomous robot sent to the **Kuiper Belt** to prepare a launch platform on a massive asteroid. To do that, you’ll need to:
- Explore procedurally generated asteroids
- Set up factories and manage production chains
- Connect asteroid-to-asteroid supply routes
- Defend your growing outpost against threats
- Eventually convert a giant asteroid into a vessel to leave the solar system
Each asteroid runs its own simulation thread for performance (yes, multithreading in Love2D 😄). And yes, there’s a big ominous black pyramid under your starting asteroid. It’s... doing things.
💬 Why I'm Posting
The game already has 20+ hours of content and a working save/load system, autosaves, upgrades, tech progression, etc.—but still needs polish, balancing, and feedback from fresh eyes.
I’d love for anyone into simulation games, automation design, or weird sci-fi to give it a spin.

I’m especially looking for feedback on:
- First impressions — did the hook land?
- Is the factory building satisfying and readable?
- Were any mechanics or systems confusing?
- Did you find any bugs, lag spikes, or weirdness?
- Does the mystery side of things intrigue you or feel tacked on?
Let me know what you think—or just come hang out on Discord if you want to chat gamedev, factory games, or space robots.
Thanks for reading!
