Hello all,

I am a self-taught hobbyist pixel artist seeking partnership(s) with a programmer and composer/musician/sound designer!( Another supporting artist for backgrounds/tilesets would also be helpful!)

My goal is to create a prototype with a small team and have a great, fun and engaging project to work towards getting out the door (with hopefully many more). I have ideas and would love to work with someone/those who share a love for classic games like Mega Man X,  Mario, Pokemon, Final Fantasy and Metal Slug (to name a few). Most of my project ideas fall in line with 2D action platformers with a focus on tight controls, a strong narrative and player choice/customization - but I am very open to brainstorming!

Below are some examples of my pixel art (some are works in progress and all are personal works).

(Wolf Attack WIP)

(Rough mockup that I started a couple of days ago)

(Running Animation WIP for the recent mockup)

(Very rough prototype that had been in the works for a while; Music is not my own but I did make all the SFX)

My Discord is angellinogold. I do have a day job and commit my early and late hours into gamedev as well as my weekends (Mon/Tue). I live in PST and would prefer availability working around/with that time zone.

Thank you for your time and viewership, hope you have a grand ol' day!

Hey, first I LOVE the Rough mockup of the monster, that's an amazing artstyle. I'm intersted to do some music if you want, I'm adding you on discord ;)

Hello, im very interested in helping out with programming. I'm pretty good at linking art and code together and have done a few metroidvanias. Feel free to check out my page.

Hiya, hit me up on Discord and we can discuss more there!

Hello! I'm a programmer (mostly worked in Unreal) and would be interested in helping, I've added you on discord.

Wow, you sell yourself way too low. hear you say some of this art is a work in progress?  I still can't tell which ones you mean by that, and not only does the art look amazing despite me not being much of a fan of pixel art, but you also animated and gave it FVX, all of which look as good as the art.

Thank you - I called them works in progress because they aren’t finalized. I had planned on finishing the last animation (with some attacks) as well as the mockup but thought I’d throw this post out first and keep hashing that art out until I find someone/people to work with.

Beginner Composer. Sent a friend request from the nickname kitman kit.

Could i make some music for you?

My forte, is Electronic music, mainly, House, Jungle, Breakcore, and Ambient music, but I can learn to write anything, and I enjoy challenging myself. I can do sound design, although I haven’t been doing it for very long. I am however confident in my skills.

The attached folder is a small collection of things I have made, that I feel encompass my sound the best.

This is a youtube link, to all of the music I have officially posted. most of the things I have posted are quite old, and my sound has changed slightly since I started uploading my music. You can also contact me at, smylmakesmusic@gmail.com, and through discord, pipebombtutorial

Hey there, I am a hobbyist programmer (many years experience with programming, gameplay mechanics and planning for fun) with very basic pixel art skills, not even close to your level. Built my own engine years ago, but ultimately decided to move onto using game engines built and maintained by people who do that full-time. My preferred engine due to performance, ease-of-use, and scalability is Construct 3. Much better in my opinion to Game Maker 2 and GDevelop, and much faster to prototype with than Godot or Unity which I don't even have the time for - tedious and boring to work with.

I also have a day job, but I've been working on my first serious game the past couple of months, a survival horror/top down game focusing more on Resident Evil/Silent Hill style storytelling and atmosphere, but combining it with some gameplay elements from Hotline Miami, GTA 1+2 (first GTA games from the 90s that were top down), and Diablo (fighting hordes of enemies, but more like Doom with less focus on looting and equipment mechanics)

I draw a lot of my inspiration from 90s pixel art games as they were very original, fun and unique at the time - and I still play them here and there to this day. Given how bad the AAA industry is and how indie games are still gaining popularity, I think it's a great time to be working on these kinds of projects.

I am looking for a long-term partnership with a pixel artist willing to allocate some spare time, and ideas, to help bring this game (I have a series planned) and future games to fruition. The team will always be small and the art style I think will be doable and manageable for you (literally looking at creating mostly from 8x8/16x16 to at most 64x64 pixel sprites and tiles - with only as much detail as needed. You would be part of our little team (2 people currently - me, and a friend who would help with planning and business/legal related stuff) and if we can get our works released and hopefully perform well, share in the rewards and credit.

I have an early prototype preview of the gameplay which I can share with you via URL. No need to download anything as it is built using web technology (can be hosted on Itch.io if needed) although we can export to different platforms like Steam.

I sent you friend request on Discord from kjb007.

Looking forward to your reply.
