The Mac Version only works for Intel Macs. I working on a build für ARM Macs too but will take some time.
The game returns to desktop upon execution.

Thanks for reporting! Can you please try to start the exe from a terminal window. Then you should get more information about the error.
And I added a debug build version that should give more information about an error. If you don't mind, please try it out.
