How to use Hotscreen Sticky

Each parameter has a tooltip. Put your mouse over it to read more explanation.

This parameter is very powerful. This allows your screen to perfectly match the effects, ensuring a perfect censor !

This allows you to record the Hotscreen window, in order to save and share your own content. Check the button, start to record the new window with OBS (for exemple), then click Hide the window to move it out of your screen.

Once you are happy with your custom parameters of a filter. Enter a name and click on the save button.

This filter will be now available in the "Custom filters" section of Add a Filter. You can use / in the name of your filter to sort them in folders.

You can import your own audios, fonts and images. Just put them in the corresponding folders inside the "custom_ressources" folder next to hotscreen.exe

Your own videos can be imported using the Add your videos button in the Tool tab.

Does increasing this parameter make it match the screen better, or does lowering it improve the match?

0 means no visual latency.
When Screen latency is at 0, the effects will always be a little late (of course if your PC can run it at 120 fps it will be barely noticable).

If the delay bothers you, set the Screen latency to 1 (that should be enough for most people). If the effects are still late, continue increasing this value till they are synchronized with the screen.

My screen latency keep resetting to 0 after I change it to 2. Any fix for this or save my change?

Just wanted to say I have no idea how mods work or where to even begin. It must be some advanced stuff as the changelog mentions APIs. It's ok but was curious if people will post their own unique setups to copy. Thanks.

A mod in Hotscreen is only a your_mod.mod.tscn text file : a Godot scene that will be loaded into the game. It's mainly for developers but if you want something simple or only want to edit an existing mod, a powerful AI like chatGPT can create it for you.

There is no API to know ! It's just that the 0.7 contains an example of a mod that use the Bluesky API.

Hey, is there any way to make the censorship follow custom shapes for specific body parts, like a mod

Developer

The detected area is always a box, but you can create a mod that display the effect in the shape you want, using this box coordinates.

Hi,

I didn't know where else to ask this, but are you aware of three software Purevision? I think it's still not released yet but it's being made by the guys who made Puryfi. (I'm in their discord so i know it's in development but I'm not sure if it's out yet)

They seem to be using Hotscreen as a benchmark I think? Or they're at least aware of it and are comparing some aspects of Purevision to Hotscreen to aid their development and push it in the right direction.

I just wanted to inform you that this kinda thing is being developed. I'm not trying to portray it as negative or positive, just thought you should know lol.

But I think Hotscreen has become kind of a pioneer of the monitor censoring thing which is pretty cool👍

I spoke with one guy of the Purify team 5 month ago, about how to train a detection model. I also gave them a Hotscreen key so they could test it. 😅 My trained models are open source and available for everyone on my huggingface anyway.

I'm curious of how cool their Purevision will be.

Thank you for telling me ❤️, it nice to see Hotscreen have involved fan like you.

Np <3 just glad to be here~

It is hoped that a wider range of options will be provided when customizing the size of the color box, instead of setting the maximum limit at 299%. The full-screen box is somewhat too large, 299% size is  small.

Thank you for developing this tool.
