Hi,

so i got the software after finding some good reviews about it but it just... doesn't work?

Any hotkey doesnt work, i can't get the text select screen or what ever it;s called.

Hi Veron!

Which game(s) have you tried? It is possible that the specific game you are trying isn't supported (yet), or some hotkey interference. I have a new update coming out this week that should alleviate this issue completely, but if the game uses one of the supported renderers, then we should be able to find a quicker solution! :)

Thanks for quick reply,

Translator++ detects the game engine as NW/MMV engine game translations doesn't work too.

I also tried to translate some text on a website and when i click any hotkey the window select wont appear.

Hi again, apologize for the late reply, I forgot to manually follow this topic. (Only get notified on thread creation).

I see. I believe it is a RPG Maker game then. Unfortunately, these games are mostly unsupported. There have been reports of previous success with these types of games if you choose DirectX 8 as the renderer.

About translating on a website - This is unsupported, GameTranslate does (currently) only support translating in games. This will change with the new update that is coming at the end of this week. Desktop translations will be supported, as well as games that use obscure graphic renderers that a lot of these RPG Maker games use.

So if changing to DirectX 8 does not work for you, check back next week when the new update comes! :)

So the translation select window only works in games that i launch via the app?

I tried every rendering setting and it didnt work so i guess o have to wait for the next update.

Hi,

That is incorrect, just because a game shows up inside the list it does not mean that the game is supported.

GameTranslate currently only supports games that use DirectDraw, DX7/8/9/10/11/12 and OpenGL.

Hope the new update will work better for you! :)

The new update is out now, please try it out and let me know how it works out for you.

Thank you! :)
