i found this game thanks to a video in my suggestions yesterday, once i found out it was free i wanted to play it but i realized that it can only run on windows, if i use an emulator will i be able to play it or no?

you can use steam proton.  just add it through steam and it should work https://itch.io/t/3628791/tutorial-how-to-play-votv-on-linux

thank you:3

i followed the instructions from the tutorial but when i try to run the game i get the following:
A D3D11-compatible GPU (feature level 11.0, shader model 5.0) is required to run the engine.
any idea on what to do?

just try run it with portproton(available in flatpak)

Depending on your distro and hardware it could be that you are using older version of some packages and need to update your OS or maybe switch to another Proton version or maybe you GPU isn't detetcted properly if you have integrated and dedicated or it's NVIDIA. Maybe I can help you trough Matrix or some other fast messages chat but mainly you can just search such errors and how to fix them
