One Dawn Studios is seeking a Part-Time Level Designer to create level designs for our top down shooter, Operation: Valor.
Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and revise interesting layouts for gameplay.
- Propose and pitch level concepts
- Block out levels and play spaces in-engine, proving that these levels are fun to traverse, intuitive to navigate, and fulfill the goals set by the game’s narrative and technical requirements
- Implement game scripts to objects
- Analyze, validate, and incorporate feedback from the team, as well as from external user testing, as needed
- Self-motivated with the highest level of attention to detail
- Prioritize well, meet deadlines, and communicate progress with the Project Leads.
- Attend weekly online meetings via Discord.
Requirements
- 18+ Years of age
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Experienced in designing and developing game spaces, including block-outs
- Comfortable with both conceptual and practical aspects of game design
- Experienced with 3D world and level building tools
- Experience with Unity 3D
- Experience with 3D software is a plus (Maya)
