Switching from Intel to Apple silicon (macOS): how to proceed?

I've got the game (completed), DLC included and I'm switching computer. Going from an Intel to an Apple silicon on macOS. You've got a different file for each version. How do I proceed to make sure I don't lose my saves and all?

Developer

Hello, the simplest way would be to use the cloud save system (you can enable it in the main menu / Play / Cloud save )

or you can manually backup the save folders located here:

  • ~/Library/Application Support/GrizzlyGamerStudio/Robin Morningwood Adventure
  • ~/Library/Application Support/com.GrizzlyGamer.RMAWhellcum

Maybe you'll have both folders, or only one.

Thanks for such a fast reply! So I basically download the Apple silicon version of the game and use a save (cloud or the folders in Library) before starting the game? If so, that sounds pretty straightforward. Thank you

Hello, I downloaded the version and upon starting I get a warning stating: "“RobinMorningwoodAdventure.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Bin."

What should I do? Thanks in advance

Developer

Hello. We have updated the game. Have you downloaded the latest version?

Yes, I know. I downloaded the latest version. I get that prompt upon opening the .app created after decompressing the .zip file. I'm confused, what am I missing here? Thanks for being replying quickly though, I really appreciate the effort and commitment.

I'm sorry for the issue, it seems the notarization process didn't work, so I canceled the release of the 2.1 for MacOS. The 2.0 is again available to download on itch.io, this one doesn't have installation issue since the notarization worked back then.

Awesome, thank you!

Hello, unfortunately I require your assistant again.

I used the cloud saves (I couldn't find any manual backups under ~/Library/Application Support), but while everything of the main game is there, everything related to the DLC Attack of the gay clones is gone. It's simply not activated on my new computer.

1. If I have to activate it again, how do I get the code again or a new code?

2. If I activate the DLC anew, my save will still be gone, right?

Any suggestions on how to solve that matter?

Developer

Hello,

I think you just need to re-activate the DLC from the option menu.

All done, thank you much.
