Coming soon: v1.1 Mighty Steel Fighters

Code:

- Implementation of a 2-speed Turbo mode that can be combined with all current difficulty levels.

- Simplification of the buttons (controllers) by removing the charge function. From now on, all special moves are performed diagonally down, right, or left, depending on the direction of the NPC. This makes combat more dynamic.

- Speeded up the selection cursor in the menu.

- Offset of the difficulty indicator stick figure because it was difficult to see on some CRT screens.

- Revision of Vlad's spinning special move.

- With version 1.1, Reed, Vlad, Bud may have some non-blocking visual issues on an exceptional basis. A review will come later.

Graphx:

Characters:

- All characters enlarged by +/-10%.

- Changed Vlad's clothing colors from Red to Blue.

- Decorations:

- The scenery has been reworked, limiting the use of hatching. The combat zone has been brightened and redone. The sky is now based on the same pattern for all levels.

VERSION 1.2 : 18/07/2025

- All characters enlarged +-20%

- Changed font colors for numbers

- Fixed framerate loss, flickering, and random visual glitch in the intro

- Added the TURBO mention

- The score is now displayed in-game only after the game has started

- The floor of all maps has been slightly brightened, and the area boundary signs have been reduced for a better proportion with the players

- In Mr. Big's map, Tong Po wasn't visible to spectators because he was in a KO position on the ground; this has been fixed

- Minor map tweaks

- Energy balls can no longer be blocked by another energy ball and continue their runs

- Accelerated character selection cursor in the menu

- Vlad's keystroke bug since v1.1 on the left-side spin special has been fixed; he now advances towards the NPC again

- Changed the keys for Turbo activation, now indicated on the menu screen

- Recovery time after Hakuken, Sonic Boom, and Buda Fire reduced by 10%

- Mr. Big, the wait between hits is reduced and his striking power increased by +1

- Player management is working again; since v1.0, the only thing missing is an Inc. A.

- Changed the end-of-fight slow motion speed from 6 to 3

- P key: PAUSE implemented, and to exit, TAB or Fire 1

- ESC key: CANCEL fight and return to the menu

- Added "Tong Po" selectable as a player and modified menu (Thanks to Rahow Body for the advice)

- Changed colors, the flames become red again

- Reworked the Haduken throwing positions for Chuck and Lee, as well as positions for other characters

- In the intro, it is now Mr. Big who kidnaps our beautiful lady, and not Tong Po, who becomes a player (Thanks to Rahow Body for the advice) tip)

- The color of the impact sprites is now better differentiated: red for hits on NPCs and blue for hits on players.

- A demo version will be available on the itchio AmstradGGP account: 3 playable characters: Lee, Chuck, and Lara, all modes + Turbos.

- Detection of active RAM when launching the presentation page: <=128 KB RAM/BAD, 512 KB launches the game (Thanks to Fano for the tip)

- Loading times reduced by approximately 5 to 10%.

- No more slowdowns in the final scene, which was intentionally set to a lower frame rate.

- Dialogue tweaks.

- Automatic return to the menu after the end credits, and the ability to return to the menu at any time with the ESC key. No need to restart the full game to play again.

- Revised and improved menu animations.

- Every change can bring its share of bugs, lol. Less is more.
