Of course, feel free to make your own game! All I would ask of you is to not use Hardware Tycoon's branding (e.g. pick a different name and logo), as that's proven to confuse people before. You may also check out the community projects that others have been working on on our Discord server, although I don't think any of them have gone too far yet.
That isn't the best option since it uses the Hardware Tycoon likeness without me having anything to do with the project, but as long as you emphasize that it's not official, it should be fine.
