Week 1-2 | 02.07.25

Welp! It's been quite the couple of weeks. Had to deal with real life stuff but I'm proud to say I've made some decent progress. 

Research

I found Ironheart which is one of the inspirations of Your Lordship and it really is just a great game. 

I've also been analyzing Wayhaven Chronicles and am really appreciating some of the patterns I'm seeing. Seraphinite has some awesome posts about her writing process too and has definitely been enlightening. So while I'm not focusing on a romance game I'm hoping to emulate some of her writing style. 

Speaking of writing styles, a long time ago, I was reading up on the writing style of one of my favorite books, Keterah and Lord Death, and the author had a great article on writing for medieval tone and style while keeping it accessible to modern readers. Unfortunately I can't find that article, but it stayed with me and I am trying to keep that in mind as I write.

Development 

I have settled on the resources in the game. I think it works well but I'm really excited to say that I've started writing the actual content. So far, I'm focused on writing the prologue which will serve as the demo of the game. 

My goal is to have the first part of the prologue done by Sunday then each part done by the end of the each week. So cheers :)
