Is there a max width/height restriction?

Hello, firstly thank you for building such a useful tool!

I recently tried to create my own font using it and ran into some issues and was hoping to get some clarification. The size of the image I am trying to use as a font is 512x192, each character takes up 32x32 pixels.

However, when I import this image into the tool, it doesn’t seem to work and I see errors in the console.

If I resize the image canvas to be 256x96 with each character set to 16x16 pixels, I get mixed results. Sometimes it works if I have the character size set beforehand, and sometimes it shows the same errors in the console in the image above. And other times the font interpretation on the right side is just a series of random pixels.

If I further resize this down to 128x48 and set the character size to 8x8 it works flawlessly.

Obviously each time I size down I lose some of the pixels, which I would like to not have to do. I was wondering if maybe there is something I am not trying out - or if maybe there is a hard limit of width/height I need to adhere to.

Thanks!

Judging from the glyph overlay, your font metrics (ascent/descent/pixel size) are completely messed up.
