So I recently bought this game (I bought it yesterday) and I haven't been able to download it. The file keeps saying Failed - Forbidden, before it even downloads onto my computer.
The game is Seduce Me 2 The Demon War, and I don't know how to fix this problem. I have tried restarting my pc, resuming the download, waiting for a bit and then downloading, etc. I don't know how to fix this problem.
I'm having the same issue. I never used to have this issue with downloading from itch. I suspect it's a way to force us to use their desktop app, which I managed to download and install. Problem with it is that, while downloading with it is reliable, you can't just download games, you have to install them - it auto-installs once the download is complete, and there's no option to turn this off (that I can find).
The only way to complete browser downloads for me, it would seem, is to not touch my browser until the download is complete. If I do anything, the download usually gets interrupted. Sometimes I can resume it, other times it gives me the "Forbidden" error.
They need to sort their servers out I think, but I'd happily use the app if it didn't auto-install every game.
I have attempted downloading APKs for my phone and it would give me this error for so much as a new notification appearing on my phone... Otherwise the download would start up fine. Maybe if I had faster internet it may be better, but as I'm stuck using phone data at 5-10mb/s at maximum, I was hoping to find some sort of fix for the error.
I guess it's off to the library for attempt 4 on downloading things from Itch.
