2.Submissions will be taken during the month of May.

Promotional images and descriptions on the itch.io page can be altered during the Jam Rating Phase.
If you want your Submission to be part of the Jam Rating Phase in June then don’t add more content nor fix bugs/typos/glitches until the Rating Phase is over.

Are there any consequences for joining and not submitting outside not being counted by the end of the event?

I'm more so asking just in case I find myself be unable to commit to a project fully and have to back out

There’s no consequences for not Submitting anything.

When you Join the Jam you can a Leave the Jam at any point before the end of the Jam.
