Low FPS on Mac OS X

Hi, thanks for making great simulator!

I tried latest version of FPV Freerider Classic (2016-09-30), and I found its FPS is lower than older version. In older version (2016-05-24) it was around 60fps but in latest version its around 45 or 30. I tried both motion blur on/off but I could not feel any FPS improvement.

My env is Mac OS X 10.9.5. MacBook Air 11 Mid 2012. I'm glad if this simulator allows to run on low spec machines! thank you!

Thanks for the feedback. I switched to a more accurate collision detection in the latest version, that must be what is causing the lower FPS. I didn't think that it would make such a big difference, but if a lot of people are experiencing the same I might have to switch back.

(and yes, you should also keep motion blur off to ensure maximum possible framerate)

I will stick older version until I buy new machine. Since you already have 'Recharged' version so I wish you keep 'Classic' low spec machine friendly.

Anyway, keep up the good work! Thanks again! :D

I just uploaded an updated version of Freerider classic where I made it possible to choose between Accurate and Fast (less accurate) collision detection.

You can try that (select "Fast collision detection" in custom settings) and see if it runs more smoothly on your machine.
