Scenery editor

Hello there. First of all I want to thank again for the great sim. Tried few other sims already but I keep coming back, as its the only sim that does feel realistic enough to actually practice.

Now the request - is there any way to create or edit the sceneries ? Pretty sure it can be done with Unity Personal, but can the support for external sceneries be included? Thanks in advance!

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that!

This is one of the things I would like to be able to feature most of all. However, it is not possible to load custom sceneries into a Unity build, at least no way that I know of. (All the scenes have to be "baked" into the package when building the executable). I hope I will find a solution for this later on though.

Would this work ?

Create some mockup maps/folders, map1.xxx, map2.xx, etc ..which are just basic placeholders, and then let ppl overwrite the files/folders with other maps ?

Or a map.ini, where you can manually map extra maps 1-xx, to real maps ..even if it's limited to a predefined number

Something like that -might- work, at least in theory. I did some experimenting with it now but all I managed to do what to get the program to hang when I replaced the maps by simply overwriting the files. My guess it is not as easy as one would hope. (Even if you could miraculously get it to work I presume the custom maps would have to be built with the same version of Unity as the executable). But if someone has the time and patience, please look into this further, I would be interested to know.

I think that the only thing is missing now is this one. If you could add the scenary editor it would be great.

By the way great sim!!

I agree, it would be great. Thanks!
