Any news on 1.8 update???

(+2)

Dr.Muramasa can you please update the date of 1.8 and inform us with a confirmed date for 1.8 we are really exicted .. we are already in mid Nov !

You are not going to get a date out of them 馃槗 Kal has shed loads to work on with new content and bug fixes. Never mind there has been no mention if Starmaker is affected by security vulnerability (CVE-2025-59489) which will be another thing to handle if so.

It is ready when it's ready.

That being said, I am still sceptical with it releasing around the 22 November , going by past development cycles. But anything can happen.

As advised by others, we will never give a set date, so far the plan still continues to be to release by the end of November.

Hey Dr.Muramasa, a question: is it possible that the game will be extended to a 3.0 version instead of ending at 2.0? I think that with the launch on Steam and considering that the game is one of the top games on Itch.io, I believe the game has a lot of potential for future development, and possibly the whole community would love it if you announced more post-launch content on Steam. Is it possible that you guys won't let the project die at 2.0 and will add content up to a 3.0 version? Personally, I think this game is better than 90% of the other games on Itch.io, and I would love for it not to die at 2.0 and for you guys to give it more content, maybe one more year of development? Thank you!

It would be awesome

It wont really die, is just completed. It is highly unlikely to push past 2.0. After the steam release, the plan is to have a break period and then move to the next side project. Good things come to an end and the next doesn't have a reason not to hit the same as Starmaker. We all love starmaker, and the next side project will be worked on with the same enthusiasm as Starmaker has been developed with.

However, its always great to see the support Starmaker receives.

Oh, that's a shame. I hope you change your mind at least a little and maybe make a version 2.1, or whatever you can afford depending on sales success on Steam and if the community asks for it a lot (sorry for not giving up hope that you'll add more content).

Will the next project have similar graphics and a similar gameplay mode? I love the graphics and character designs in Starmaker.

(I hope it will be the same type of pixel art and character design).

Thank you for answering my questions!

No worries, you can have hope, thats the last thing thats lost. As for the question, gameplay will be different although is yet undecided how vast, the art style will be reused.
