Help Endless ATC

Good morning, everyone. How are you? So, I'm new to Endless ATC and I saw that it's possible to add or customize airports, which made me really excited because I might have the opportunity to customize or create an airport here in my city. I live in Brazil and there are a lot of airports here. Can anyone help me or teach me how to create or customize an airport? Any help is welcome. I'm willing to learn from scratch.

Good morning!  To add airports to the game, you will have to copy txt files from your pc  to the /locations folder of the game. A good first step is to download airport files from this page (locations.zip, see the download button) and copy one raw airport txt file to the game (for example choose SBGR_gen.txt if you want to add Sao Paulo airport). If the file is in the right location, then it should appear in the game (in the airport menu after you  started the game). Then, you could step by step add more details to the txt file, by using the example.txt file as a reference. This can be complicated, but you can also check gitHub or discord to see if someone else has already created a file for the airport you want to simulate.

Hopefully this is enough info to get started with creating airports. Good luck!

Good morning. Thank you very much, StatGrid, for answering me. I'm glad you got back to me. So can you tell me that there are already custom airports ready to be played, right? Where can I find these custom airports and add them to the game? I confess that I would like to customize an airport from scratch, but as you said, it can be complicated. Is there a video or tutorial teaching how to customize or create an airport?

Yes, ready-to-play airports are shared by other users of Endless ATC, see https://github.com/EndlessATC/Airports  (click 'final' to browse airports) or https://discord.gg/v4wDGh3 if you use discord. These communities are maintained not by me, but by fans of the game.

There's not a video to explain it, but once you find the correct /location folder of the game, copying txt file(s) to it is straight foward.

Thank you very much again for your response. I will now move forward in trying to make my game have more custom airports to play. I currently play on Android and there are only nine default airports.

I see. On android it's a bit more tricky to find the right folder, since google requires USB file transer (via PC) to get access to the app folder. But once you find the example.txt, then you know you found the correct location to put your txt files.

Thank you very much again for answering me. I will try to do these procedures on Android, if I can't I will try on PC, as I still have to purchase the game through Steam.
