Howdy everyone! I'm Bee, and I've been writing for amateur video game projects for 4 years now.
I'm looking for a pixel artist who has experience with parallax environments/backgrounds to pair with our character sprite artist/animator. Experience with animating is a plus. Bonus points if you're speedy!
Looking to make the game in Unreal, Godot, or Unity. In a programmer, the team is looking for someone comfortable working with both 2D and 3D elements on a 3D plane, post-processing effects, robust dialogue systems (choice-based, conditional, stored variables), and implementing a bartending minigame.
The jam game, tentatively titled Dragonpunk, is a 2.5D side scrolling walk-and-talk sim that imagines what a classic D&D inspired fantasy world would look like if fast forwarded into a cyberpunk-esque future. Think goblin street gangs, tieflings in moto jackets, and old elven ruins covered in magic-tech neon. Art style inspired by The Last Night/Octopath Traveler - nostalgic pixel art meets modern post-processing. Flexible with the game engine - looking at Unreal, Godot, or Unity. For a more in-depth look at game mechanics and art inspirations, check out the game's pitch deck here: https://digipad.app/p/817687/8e7b7ca97ea62.
