Hey everyone,

My name is Danny, I'm a professional composer from Tacoma, Washington and I'm looking to collaborate!

I excel at writing memorable melodies and motifs that gets stuck in people's heads and I love crafting sounds that immerse people into different worlds.  I believe my creativity and energy could truly make something special for your projects.

As far as rates, I'm flexible depending on the project and scope.  I'm more interested in finding a project that inspires my imagination.

Looking forward to creating with you,

- Danny

Hey Danny, I'm a fellow Washingtonian, hailing from Vancouver! Awesome to see your post here. I'm looking for one or two tracks for a new project I'm working on, currently untitled. I can get more into the details later if you're interested, I'm curious what the price might be for a song or two? I'm on a tight budget but I'm hoping to come to a mutually beneficial agreement. (I do plan on selling my project when finished).

Hey there fellow Washingtonian!

Can you tell me a little more about the project you are working on and what kind of sound you are hoping to achieve?

Absolutely. I'm working on a Sci-Fi/Fantasy strategy game with war and economy elements, set in the near-distant to far-future (spanning over that timeframe). The main thing I'm looking for is a primary theme song for the game. I particularly enjoy the synthwave/cyberpunk sound, but I'd like some old style taiko drums if it sounds like a good combination when mixed. Does that sound like something you could do?

I do love a good strategy game, I'm excited to see what you create!

A few questions:

- Are you wanting something that's more chill and ambient, or something melodic with a more noticeable melody?

- Will this piece of music be playing in the main menu, or would this piece be something that would loop during gameplay?

- For the synthwave/cyberpunk sound I can definitely do that, are you wanting something retro, or cinematic, or a combination of both?

- More ambient for sure
- Main Menu theme
- something more on the cinematic side

Perfect, that helps a lot. Do you have art/concept art, or a tech demo that I can reference to get a feel for the game and it’s style?

The tech demo is still in very early development, I'm the only coder at the moment. We have some concepts for a few spaceships, but it's primarily going to be pixel art in the 64-256 size ranges. I can mock up a few more things if needed to help you get the vibe, but essentially, the way I describe the feel to my friends is by referencing Warhammer 40k. "Billions die every day...", dark, dystopian, disturbing, but with a touch of hope. Other than that description I would struggle to provide in-game art for now.

Okay, I'll take a look at some 40k and find some dystopian pixel art to reference.  What I'll do is make a few mock up demos and see if we can find a sound that fits your vision for the project.  If so, then we can discuss pricing or coming to another arrangement, how does that sound for you?

Lastly, what is the best way to contact you moving forward?

That sounds like a fair deal to me. Discord would be the best way to contact me going forward. Here's my username: wrekt#2824

Perfect, sent you a request.
