Holospark!, the 4v4 hololive hero shooter, is now recruiting!
Join us in creating a funky fresh take on the hero shooter genre with fast-paced gameplay, unique mechanics, and a vibrant, punky art style!
Holospark! is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter game inspired by the likes of Overwatch and Apex: Legends, with a flashy, colorful, and bright cel-shaded style reminiscent of funky-fresh classics like UNBEATABLE [white label], Muse Dash, and Jet Set Radio. Our game design philosophy follows a series of principles, or pillars, which are as follows:
1. Fast-Paced, No-Frills Gameplay - Players cannot resurrect, and healing is limited to encourage fast-paced, no-frills, tactical gameplay.
2. Engaging & Memorable Characters - All characters should be engaging and memorable to play as and against. While it is difficult to prevent a meta from occurring, careful attention should be given to balancing the characters against one another in a variety of play styles and scenarios (1v1, balanced vs unbalanced, and so on), discouraging hard counters.
3. Dynamic Play First - Map and character design should encourage dynamic (as opposed to static) play. Moments are less memorable if they are e.g. the 100th time you've killed the same enemy in the same spot with the same weapon.

We’re planning to earn revenue after release through hololive’s holoIndie program, which we will apply to after reaching a playable demo with several characters. Our aesthetic is planned to be heavily stylized, with cel shading and vibrant colors with a punk theme, so we’d prefer 3D artists that are able to create stylized models and smooth, snappy animations. We're also working with the Godot engine, so programmers familiar with that are a must!
