When I’m interested in an asset, I click on its home page to see it, but when I go back to the previous content, it refreshes the page. How do I fix this problem, or what’s wrong with my approach.

It's a workaround but maybe  you could try opening them in another tab ? (Clicking with the scrollwheel of your mouse should do the trick, or long press and open in a new tab on your phone)
