I am a freelance proofreader and copy editor looking to expand my portfolio. I most recently completed proofreading/localisation work using CrowdIn for Eventide Birds (Fertility, Crime, and Economy) and am looking to work on similar projects. I come from an academic background, but can check your translations to US/UK English, work on localisation from *French* - English, translate into modern Irish, and copyedit/proofread for QA, edit UI, etc. I am mostly looking for paid work but am open to trial edits/small unpaid projects to build my portfolio in the gaming industry.

I am also a trained Celticist/medievalist with a PhD and I am interested in any opportunities for historical consultancy or medieval/ancient language translation. My specialisation is in medieval Irish history, but I can advise on topics such as: 

- early-late (7-16th century) medieval/early modern Irish and ancient Celtic culture - Anglo-Saxons and Viking Age/Scandinavian history/literature - general medieval history I would also love to translate Old or modern Irish for you, but can also work on Old Norse and Latin scripts and translation.
