1. You will start the main campaign will only two skill slots, however, as you progress you will gain an extra two for each dragon shrine you visit until you have a max of 12 for three of the four main characters.
2. There are items called 'Star Seeds' scattered throughout the game, most can be found in towns and dungeons, with some bosses dropping them. There are about 200 in all, and for every five you deliver to the proper NPC you will gain an item and/or accessory.
3. There are four types of rare metals in the game that are linked to one of the main characters. One of your kobolds will be able to forge them into the best equipment in the game back at the home forge, but only if you bring 100 star seeds to the NPC stated above.
4. You can take on small hunts for money from various notices in town, but only if you take one of the player characters to a fighting arena in the first town and collecting a badge therein.
5. You can purchase various skills for 3 of the 4 playable characters in first town that you travel to.
6. There is a dojo in the story for which you can gain extra skills by fighting the master within in a one-on-one duel.
7. There are six statues in the game which can be accessed once you obtain the 'airship' of the game. You have to find and destroy them before going to the penultimate dungeon in order to get the true ending.
8. There are seven treasures maps in the game which you can find. The treasures can only be accessed via the 'airship' of the game.
9. The main character will gain a variety of skills throughout the storyline, so don't panic if you think you missed any because you didn't.
10. There are a number of side activities in the story that you can wander into, you'll know them by the fact that you can avoid them if you choose to literally go around them.
11. There is a casino that can be found in the second to last chapter of the story which provides a great many items/accessories.
